Iraq's 120 Percent Safe for Travelers


Speaking of vacation, perhaps the thought is a white sand beach or the mountains cool. It never even imagined for a holiday in Iraq, the war-torn country since 2003.

However, Iraq has its own advantages as a potential tourist magnet of foreign countries.Moreover, Iraq is safer now, says chief executive of the tourism bureau Iraq, FadhilAl-Saaegh.

"Iraq is 120 percent secure, and we guarantee you will smile satisfied tourists when visiting this country," said Fadhil, was quoted by the Daily Mail, Friday, November 11, 2011.

He said most foreign tourists no longer need fear being kidnapped and murdered,because Iraq has been much better. Numbering thousands of archaeological sites in Iraq,said Fadhil, will amaze the tourists.
"Iraq has 12,000 archaeological sites and more than 6,000 sites being studied. There is no other country that match this record," said Fadhil.

Fadhil company offers 3-18 day tours around the historic sites in Iraq, at a cost of £ 1.200(Rp17, 2 million) per week. In the package a week, the tourist will take a two-day stay in Baghdad and Basra, to see the city, after the collapse of Saddam Hussein.

One of the favorite places to be visited is the Ishtar Gate in Babylon, which was founded in575 BC by order of King Nebuchadnezzar II.
